Eye Opener!

Wow, talk about an incredible eye opener. Last week I got a horrible virus on my laptop, and it completely wiped out my documents. Sean took it to a friend who took a look at it, but all was lost. So he reset it to the factory settings, getting rid of the virus, but this left me bawling for hours over my lost photos. I had our whole lives on that laptop. Every picture I had taken in the past 2 years was on there. B-day parties, pregnancies, dates, and even Gracie's birth. I still tear up thinking about it. I put the comment on facebook that I've never been so happy to be a "Facebook Picture Whore" before. I sometimes going into picture overload, but at least I knew those ones were safe and I could find them again.
Well, last night my old visiting teacher, who has moved away but is still apparently looking out for me, sent her husband over to double check. He did incredible things to both of my computers, and may actually be able to recover some of my pictures!!! HOOOOORAAAAAAYY! I seriously could have kissed him (I didn't just for Nancy and Sean's sake!).

But all of that made me realize that I need to start sharing my pictures and stories on our family blog more often. I not only need to keep everyone up to date with our incredibly crazy lives, but have the pictures documented. I will be printing the blog every few months for our own hard copy, and would love to have current, and up to date pictures!!

So, here we go!

2 nights ago, William helped me make brownies. They actually didn't turn out very well because as we were making them (at 8:30 at night) we ran out of sugar (about 1/4 cup short), and cocoa (about 1/4 cup short). Hmmm, guess I need to check the ingredients BEFORE starting a recipe huh?! Oh well, he loved to lick the spatula and bowl!

Yesterday we went and parked on one end of main street and walked up and down it. We went to see if there were any kids shows playing that I may take William to this weekend. He's never been to a theater before, and I think it would be a fun Mommy date to go to the little theater in kaysville! Anywho, we walked up to one end where there was a snow cone shack. Of course, we couldn't pass up a $2 snow cone. So we all shared one. I have a feeling we may be riding out bike there quite a bit this summer!

24th Marquiss Family Dinner

Last night we had a family dinner at my parents house down in PG to celebrate the holiday!
Unfortunately Sean has been on-call for work all week, and was stuck working in the heat all day yesterday.
So I packed up the kids and headed down early in the day hoping my parents would entertain William and take him swimming. Being that I can't "submerge in water" for 6 weeks after the c-section, I couldn't take him myself. We got there, and my parents were already in the pool!! We I threw William in with them, and Gracie and I sat and relaxed while they played.

William did FABULOUS in the water. Earlier in the year I took him to Lehi's city pool, but we stayed in the 2 foot deep section. So the only times he has been swimming were last week when he stayed with my parents, and yesterday. You wouldn't know it though, because he took off swimming with no help but a noodle under his arm. He even slipped off the noodle and went all the way under but kicked himself back up to the surface!! I was so proud of my little water boy!

When he was not in the big pool, he was playing in the sand box, the kiddie pool, or feeding the chickens. That kid is such a non-stop personality that wears everyone out!

I took over 150 pictures last night (can you say I'm addicted to my camera?!) But somehow narrowed it down to not as many!

My parents neighbors have a train they made out of barrels and pull with a 4 wheeler or a riding lawn mower. Dad borrowed it to take the grandkids for a ride. I decided to tag along to get some pictures....bad idea 2 weeks after a c-section! At least the pictures turned out.

Each kid picked an animal that they wanted their car to be.

Hendrix - Cow
Dakota - Pig
Heather/Marley - Goat
Marley - Horse
William/Grandma - Elephant

Spending time with my family is the best!

Family Pictures and Gracie's Newborn's

I am so in love with my family!! I really don't think I can explain the love and passion I have since bringing Gracie into the world.

When I found out I was pregnant I told Sean that I was worried about not being able to care for and love another baby as much as I do William. I felt like there was no way that I could ever have those feelings for anyone else.
My love for Sean and love for William are two completely different types of love, and I didn't know how I could share the "child love" with Gracie too.

My worries were all for nothing. The second the doctor walked around the curtain with our little bundle of joy, the tears started coming and the love for Gracie was instantly there. That "child love" that I had only had for William was immediately multiplied by a million and I knew that I would love her just as much.

I feel that rush of love every time I look at both of my kids. But when I see my family all together, it blows my mind!

We got family pictures taken, and when I was proofing them at the studio, I started to tear up. I can not believe that I ever got so lucky to be trusted with these beautiful children of God. How did I get so blessed with the family I have? My amazing husband and 2 kids make my life better than I'd ever imagined.

Looking at these pictures make me happier than ever!

Isn't my family perfect?!

Happy Places

Today has been one of those painful pregnancy days. One where you just want to go to bed so that the day can be over! But then I look at my amazing William and remember why it is all worth it!

I thought I would share one of the things that makes me happy the most!

I love looking at pictures of William learning something new, playing with no cares in the world, and being with those he loves most!

This week we went to the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point for Marley's birthday. It was so much fun to watch all of the kids, and William loved everything about it!

"RAAAAAAAR"
I should have kept tally as to how many times William said that while there. He is always proud that he knows his animal sounds!

Pretty much all of the time, the pictures speak for themselves. These 5 kids have a blast together!

I love my family!!!

New Camera!!

Sean went out shopping for Black Friday. Unusual to hear of the husband going out...but with William at home, and my prego self NEEDING sleep, it was necessary for me to sleep all night. So he did the shopping.
He came  home with a new camera for me for Christmas....but little ol me talked him into giving it to me NOW!!! I'm in love.

Because of the new camera, my goal is to blog so much more, and post a ton of pictures. I'm very excited to document our crazy life with pictures!

Just the past 2 days have been so eventful. William had a play date last night with Dax:

This is how William poses for pictures now!!

The two boys playing in the toy closet. This is probably the cleanest this house has ever been with the two of them together!

I had to post this picture. Because getting a picture of Dax smiling is near impossible!

And of course, once William went missing we knew right where to find him.....soaking wet playing in the toilet. GROSS

Tried to get another picture of Dax...but he hid from the camera.

And today, with all of the snow everyone got, we took William's snow suit down to my parents house. William has not played in the snow yet because he seems to get sick everytime it falls. So today was the perfect day! And he LOVED IT.

His first step out onto snow!

Dad getting ready to throw the first snowball

Grandpa helped Willaim make his first snow angel! he loved it

It's hard to see, but it was a dang good angel

Sean after I kicked snow all over him. He then went inside "cold" and pouted!

He picked snow up to throw, and it blew back in his face. I swear this face is priceless!

He didn't care about his rosey cheeks, and his red hands. All he cared about was getting an animal cracker!

And of course, no day would be complete without dessert. Tonight was our second "Thanksgiving Dinner" so we had tons of pie. William loved the banana cream

What a great weekend it has been! I always love when Sean gets time off work, and has time to spend with the family. There are 3 days out of the week that William doesn't see Sean at all...so having Thursday-Sunday where he got to play with Daddy all day everyday, he was in paradise!

Short story!
The other night, we were driving home from dinner, and I turned to Sean and started to tell him a story. William immediately started shouting from the back seat "Dad Dad Dad Dad" until I stopped talking and Sean replied with "What William". William then continued to jibber-jabber on and on! Once he stopped, I started to finish my story to Sean when William quickly interupted with "Dad Dad Dad Dad" until I stopped talking and Sean again replied with "Waht William". He then started to jibber-jabber once again. This happened 4 times before I finally gave up and decided I wasn't going to get a word in until we were home!
It was so cute to see that William wanted all of Dad's attention and all he cared about was holding a non-understandable conversation with him!

Yup, I love my life!
