With my doctor's office, I get an ultrasound each visit, and they put it on a DVD for me as well!! I love having it to show off!!

New Camera!!

Sean went out shopping for Black Friday. Unusual to hear of the husband going out...but with William at home, and my prego self NEEDING sleep, it was necessary for me to sleep all night. So he did the shopping.
He came  home with a new camera for me for Christmas....but little ol me talked him into giving it to me NOW!!! I'm in love.

Because of the new camera, my goal is to blog so much more, and post a ton of pictures. I'm very excited to document our crazy life with pictures!

Just the past 2 days have been so eventful. William had a play date last night with Dax:

This is how William poses for pictures now!!

The two boys playing in the toy closet. This is probably the cleanest this house has ever been with the two of them together!

I had to post this picture. Because getting a picture of Dax smiling is near impossible!

And of course, once William went missing we knew right where to find him.....soaking wet playing in the toilet. GROSS

Tried to get another picture of Dax...but he hid from the camera.

And today, with all of the snow everyone got, we took William's snow suit down to my parents house. William has not played in the snow yet because he seems to get sick everytime it falls. So today was the perfect day! And he LOVED IT.

His first step out onto snow!

Dad getting ready to throw the first snowball

Grandpa helped Willaim make his first snow angel! he loved it

It's hard to see, but it was a dang good angel

Sean after I kicked snow all over him. He then went inside "cold" and pouted!

He picked snow up to throw, and it blew back in his face. I swear this face is priceless!

He didn't care about his rosey cheeks, and his red hands. All he cared about was getting an animal cracker!

And of course, no day would be complete without dessert. Tonight was our second "Thanksgiving Dinner" so we had tons of pie. William loved the banana cream

What a great weekend it has been! I always love when Sean gets time off work, and has time to spend with the family. There are 3 days out of the week that William doesn't see Sean at all...so having Thursday-Sunday where he got to play with Daddy all day everyday, he was in paradise!

Short story!
The other night, we were driving home from dinner, and I turned to Sean and started to tell him a story. William immediately started shouting from the back seat "Dad Dad Dad Dad" until I stopped talking and Sean replied with "What William". William then continued to jibber-jabber on and on! Once he stopped, I started to finish my story to Sean when William quickly interupted with "Dad Dad Dad Dad" until I stopped talking and Sean again replied with "Waht William". He then started to jibber-jabber once again. This happened 4 times before I finally gave up and decided I wasn't going to get a word in until we were home!
It was so cute to see that William wanted all of Dad's attention and all he cared about was holding a non-understandable conversation with him!

Yup, I love my life!

HUGE and Wonderful Changes!

I'm so excited to announce the HUGE and Wonderful changes that are happening in the Barker family!
As a lot of you know, Sean and I have now been married for 3 1/2 years, and have a beautiful 15 month old baby boy. Life is so amazing and it is hard to every think of things getting any better. But a few weeks ago, we found out that it is going to get better, SO MUCH BETTER!
Our little family of 3 is in for some crazy challenges in the next little bit, but it is going to be so worth it as we welcome another little one into the gang. Our small family of 3, will become a crazy but loving family of 4!

It is so hard to believe that we will be 4....really, it's still shocking to me. Even after weeks of knowing. So many things go through my mind on a regular basis:

1-How will I ever love another baby the way I love William?
2- Will the morning sickness ever go away?
3- Will I get a little girl to dress up like a doll?
4- What was I thinking? I just got my full night sleep back.
5- How is William going to react being a big brother?

I am due July 19th, 2011.

How has the pregnancy been so far?
HORRIBLE
The thing I have to keep reminding myself is that our little baby is going to be so worth it!!

With William, I was full of complaints. "It's too hot", "I'm getting fat", and so much more. And so I told myself that all other pregnancies I was going to be so positive and look on the bright side. Well, that's much easier said than done when you are spending 10+ hours from the day on the bathroom floor!
William has been very good at entertaining himself. He has learned to climb the stairs to find mom when he needs something, and scoot himself back down them to get to his toys and treats in the kitchen! Who knew my little 15 month old would become so independent so quickly and at such a young age. I can only imagine the help he's going to give once the baby is here!

When we first found out that I was pregnant, I took the test without Sean knowing. He was downstairs and I just took him the positive stick. His reply "it's kinda faint, you should take another". Yup, that was it!!! So I took another. But apparently that was not enough for him either, because he then told me I needed to go into the Instacare that day and get a pregnancy test! This was not a suprise, because he acted the same and had the same requests when I was pregnant with William.

So later that day I headed into the Instacare. Little to my knowledge, they changed their policy and could no longer give a pregnancy test unless I was seen for something else and the doctor ordered the test to be done.

Well...Just my luck, I was having crazy pains in my side the past 3-4 days. So I told her I would be seen for that, and then we could do the test as well.

Little did I know what that little pain was going to lead to.
The doc got worried that I might have an ectopic pregnancy (see picture)
This was the picture that I had to use to show Sean was an Ectopic Pregnancy was. It is where the egg does not make it to the Uterus and starts to form in the fallopian tube. This is extremely dangerous, and they can not have you carry the pregnancy to term.

When the doctor told me this, of course I burst into tears and could not imagine going through this. I know that many people have, but I'm not sure I'd ever be strong enough to go through it.

He immediately sent me to the hospital for an ultrasound. He told me he would call me immediately with the results. That's not an easy task when the tech never called him with the results for over 36 hours. Wow, talk about a long couple of days.
When he called he informed me that I had a cyst on my ovary, but it was on the right, and my pain was on the left.
Well, he left out a bit of information....I'll get to that in a minute!

He then had me come into the office and get blood tests done multiple days in a row. By the way, I HATE needles. So this was the least fun thing for me all year!

Well, a week later I finally was in his office for the results. Everything's FINE!!! My blood tests came back completely normal with my HCG levels.

Here is where I found out the info he forgot to tell me the first time. The Ultrasound had found a bunch of fluid on my left side from where a cyst had previously ruptured. That is what was causing my pain.

It was very hard to know that I was pregnant for a week but not know if we could be excited or not. There were so many tears shed in that time, but I was so grateful to my husband for always being my comforter. Although he is so excited to be a daddy again, he didn't show any negative emotion around me, and only gave me the best positive feedback.

Now, we are nothing but estatic about gaining another family member!!
And yes, the sickness IS WORTH IT!!

Family Pictures!

Well, it is about time I posted again on here. It really is sad how neglected this one is. At least some people stay up to date with some of what's going on over on the other blog as well as facebook!

About 2 weeks ago, we were finally able to get some family pictures taken. It really is about time, because the last ones we did were when William was about 2 weeks old. And we haven't even had any with William up in the house.

I am determined to have my house cute and decorated with pics of our family. Hopefully I can talk my sister-in-law into doing more pictures for us up in Ogden once we get some snow. I think the train tracks with snow on the ground would be SO CUTE!

Here's some of my favorite pictures taken by my wonderful sister Heather Michaelis.

Yes we bribe our child!!

There's no cuter dimples!

I don't look annoyed...do I?

I love all the daddy/son pictures. Sean is such a great dad

My all time favorite

Nom Nom Nom, that's the sound of me shoving Taco Amigo fries into my mouth before pictures!!

Ok, so it's a short post, but really, pictures of William are worth a million words, so I don't need to write more!

First time at the Pumpkin Patch

On Tuesday my Mom wanted to take the Grandkids to the pumpkin patch, but William was the only one that could go. Because of course, we have no life and sit around the house everyday waiting to be invited to something!!

He had such a blast. We went to the Pumpkin Patch down in Vineyard. I can't remember the name, but apparently I have been a whole bunch when I was younger...I don't remember that!

They had a corn maze

Picture Boards

Animals

And of course, PUMPKINS!

The best part of all of it, he learned to immitate a chicken!! "Cockadoodle-DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"

{Yes I realize that I filmed it sideways again. Maybe someday I'll learn}

In the middle of the corn maze, he found a totem pole with a ghost at the top. He loved him!

But his absolute favorite was the picture boards. He just couldn't grasp the correct concept!

They also had a great little play area. But I'm not sure who enjoyed it more...William because he got to play, or me because it made for some great photo ops!

And of course, he had to pick out his pumpkin....

oh the options...

hmmm, which one do I want?

Yup, this is it!

It make me sad to see my baby growing up, but at the same time I'm so excited for what's to come. He is changing everyday, and growing up to be so smart and witty!

In the past few days he has started saying so many new words. So the list now is
Sign language: More, Please, Hot
Saying: Momma, Dad, Night Night, Bye Bye, Dog (along with the sound), Car (along with the sound), Juice, Hot Dog, Food, Luv You, Welcome (in place of Thank You and Your Welcome), and my absolute most favorite, AMEN!
We have been including him in family prayer. It is hard because they can not exceed 30 seconds or we loose his attention. But he will sit on our lap and fold his arms until he hears "Amen" and then he will yell Amen and start to clap!
Well last night I was so anxious to get him to bed that I forgot the prayer part. As I was walking upstairs with him to put him down for the night, he looked at me, folded his arms and told me "Amen". It's so wonderful that my 13 month old is already creating such great habits and making sure to hold us accountable!!

Is it just me, or do these little guys grow up way too fast?
