Family Pictures!

Well, it is about time I posted again on here. It really is sad how neglected this one is. At least some people stay up to date with some of what's going on over on the other blog as well as facebook!

About 2 weeks ago, we were finally able to get some family pictures taken. It really is about time, because the last ones we did were when William was about 2 weeks old. And we haven't even had any with William up in the house.

I am determined to have my house cute and decorated with pics of our family. Hopefully I can talk my sister-in-law into doing more pictures for us up in Ogden once we get some snow. I think the train tracks with snow on the ground would be SO CUTE!

Here's some of my favorite pictures taken by my wonderful sister Heather Michaelis.

Yes we bribe our child!!

There's no cuter dimples!

I don't look annoyed...do I?

I love all the daddy/son pictures. Sean is such a great dad

My all time favorite

Nom Nom Nom, that's the sound of me shoving Taco Amigo fries into my mouth before pictures!!

Ok, so it's a short post, but really, pictures of William are worth a million words, so I don't need to write more!

First time at the Pumpkin Patch

On Tuesday my Mom wanted to take the Grandkids to the pumpkin patch, but William was the only one that could go. Because of course, we have no life and sit around the house everyday waiting to be invited to something!!

He had such a blast. We went to the Pumpkin Patch down in Vineyard. I can't remember the name, but apparently I have been a whole bunch when I was younger...I don't remember that!

They had a corn maze

Picture Boards

Animals

And of course, PUMPKINS!

The best part of all of it, he learned to immitate a chicken!! "Cockadoodle-DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"

{Yes I realize that I filmed it sideways again. Maybe someday I'll learn}

In the middle of the corn maze, he found a totem pole with a ghost at the top. He loved him!

But his absolute favorite was the picture boards. He just couldn't grasp the correct concept!

They also had a great little play area. But I'm not sure who enjoyed it more...William because he got to play, or me because it made for some great photo ops!

And of course, he had to pick out his pumpkin....

oh the options...

hmmm, which one do I want?

Yup, this is it!

It make me sad to see my baby growing up, but at the same time I'm so excited for what's to come. He is changing everyday, and growing up to be so smart and witty!

In the past few days he has started saying so many new words. So the list now is
Sign language: More, Please, Hot
Saying: Momma, Dad, Night Night, Bye Bye, Dog (along with the sound), Car (along with the sound), Juice, Hot Dog, Food, Luv You, Welcome (in place of Thank You and Your Welcome), and my absolute most favorite, AMEN!
We have been including him in family prayer. It is hard because they can not exceed 30 seconds or we loose his attention. But he will sit on our lap and fold his arms until he hears "Amen" and then he will yell Amen and start to clap!
Well last night I was so anxious to get him to bed that I forgot the prayer part. As I was walking upstairs with him to put him down for the night, he looked at me, folded his arms and told me "Amen". It's so wonderful that my 13 month old is already creating such great habits and making sure to hold us accountable!!

Is it just me, or do these little guys grow up way too fast?

FOREVER time!

I love the phrase "forever time". The little boy that I babysit said it to my the other day.

They hadn't been over in a long time {2 days!} and when he came over he said it had been "forever time"!

Guess what else has been "forever time"?!

It's been forever since I have updated the family blog. It really is sad that it is a chore to update this one, but I am on Our Thrifty Ideas at least 5 times a day, and usually more!

So I am setting a goal, I am going to try to update you on our "oh so eventful" life!

Well since last time I updated, William turned the big ONE year old! It was so hard for me. I didn't want to see him grow up so fast. It seems like just yesterday I had the endless nights, 10+ diapers a day, and endless bottle washing. And now life consists of running, laughing, eating and a whole lot of crashes!

I've never been so grateful for not working though. I always thought that I would be a hard at work, 60+ hours a week, working mom! But I almost cry everytime I have to leave William to go to work. It is nice to get {real person} interaction, but I do love my tongue clicking and hand clapping hours with William! Not to mention that he has taken on my wonderful habbit of "clogging" (or his version of it at least!)
Watch in the video. It's toward the end, but after he turns his toy back on, he starts to "clog" to the music!
(Sorry the video is sideways, I always forget on my phone)
We are also in the process of cutting down the big tree in our front yard. And by we, I mean me and William!!!

He's such a great help!
{as a disclaimer, I did NOT let him actually pick these up. I'm not a bad mom, I swear. It just made for a good picture!}

Sorry the update is short, but I promise to write again. And hopefully next time we will have an update about William's first hair cut...

Ya think it's time?!

Uncle Max's Cabin

We just got back from a family reunion trip in Oregon! It was so amazing. It's been about 10 years since I have been, and I will never miss another year.
I took so many pictures. I guess that's what happens when it's William's first vacation right? He was so spoiled the whole time that we were there. Everyone LOVED him (that's probably an understatement!) and played with him all the time, and he had complete undivided attention the whole time.
I took too many videos too! (PS, click on the arrows of the video to make it full screen, it's easier to watch that way)
This is William eating his dinner! Oh, and it has him saying "Bye Bye" too! So Cute. Oh, and if my Dad knows I put this up, he will get so mad at me. He is the one in the background making the funny noises at Will!

My Grandpa is SUCH a cheeseball!
Once William got used to the water, he LOVED it! What a better way to spend a day than laying in the sun, and playing in the lake when you get too warm.

Now I'm gonna jump right into the pictures!
We took him out on a party boat just to see the animals, and it put him right to sleep. He kept staring at the water, the wake, and the dog that ran from side to side! Then all of a sudden, he zonked! He was out COLD.

Taking his first bath at Max's cabin, in the big metal bathtub! It definitely wont be his last either!

This is William's absolute favorite thing to do, look at himself in the mirror all wrapped in his towel! He thinks he is the cutest thing ever! It's a good thing he really is.
When you go to the cabin, you have to earn your stay! All of the guys put in new lights and a ceiling in the carport! Gotta love these handy men!
Gram asked me to get in the water with her for the first time since we got there. It was really warm outside, but the water was FREEZING. Ya know how most people lie and say the water is fine just to get you in, as soon as Gram put a foot in the water she said "I don't know how to swim, so if this water is this cold for too long, you may have to save me". Haha, it was pretty chilly!
This was William's first time in the lake, and he wasn't very happy about how cold it was either. He stood on my thighs and kept the rest of himself from touching the water. It took him quite some time to warm up to the idea of swimming!
Papa Stan loves William. Whatever William wanted, Papa Stan gave him!
The things that Marquiss family does to stay entertained........Yeah!
My Grandpa is SO MATURE!
Everyone stayed up until all hours of the night playing "Water Pong" It's the old person, young person, and Mormon version of Beer Pong! It definitely wouldn't be good to have the 5 year old going to kindergarten telling her class that she played Beer Pong over the summer at her Marquiss family reunion!
This is a picture of William's very first sourdough pancakes breakfast! If you know the Marquiss family at all, you know that it is very rare that it has taken this long for him to have them!
William always carries his toys in his mouth, and this week was no different. He had this pirate in his mouth all the time!
NOBODY better tell my Dad this is on here. I was threatened not to put it on! But I just love it! Sean had dropped some fishing stuff in the lake, so my Dad went diving for it. Such an attractive picture huh!
If anyone ever thought my child didn't like food, I have plenty of witnesses to the fact that William LOVES food. He would not stop eating the spaghetti. He ate more that night than I did!
This is where all of our meals are prepared, served, and cleaned up! Gotta love the great outdoors!
Ok, and now here's just a bunch of randoms that I thought were cute!
